On The Road Again!

I was called a gypsy by a sweet dear friend the other day...
I guess because I love to be on the road ... Truth be known I've been bored here in Rochester for years... Maybe it's my status of being single, maybe living in the same town Forever, maybe I just love to explore... ( my hearts desire would be to explore with a wonderful life long partner!)

I love to see the world from a view most take for granted, or don't have time to stop and see the beauty of the sights all around...

I was told I'm a creator of Love, Awe and Wonder a description of what a stranger (at the time) saw in me, which makes me smile!

This posting was inspired by the picture I posted...
It was taken in the car ( I was the passenger Margie!) but the beauty of this picture made me realize the God given gifts that surround us all the time...

This picture can be anything and anywhere you want it to be!

I had to laugh!

A best friend who makes me laugh, is there when I need to cry. Loyal as loyal can be, has a beautiful huge heart, her arms are always open, and she has a basement I can always end up in! : )

Details don't need to be shared, the point is an Angel in the form of a childhood friend, a gift from God, a life to be celebrated in the present, and memories to be cherished for a lifetime...

I went for a visit to see my parents the other day, and of course my mom wanted me to eat or did she just want to feel like she was useful and feed me? I'm not even sure....

But I wasn't hungry, so she came out side with her food trying to convince me to try something ....

I can't help but smile at this picture and her love to feed everyone who enters her home!

I am blessed to still have my parents.
88 and 87.... Living, loving, and totally Bored!

I asked my dad what he did a few weeks ago and he said he went for a drive "30 miles to nowhere "

Yesterday I asked him what's new, he told me he joined the " Do Nothing Club" they do nothing all day...

He smiled and I know he's bored...
We laughed, smiled some more
I asked what does the club serve for dinner he said " left overs" ...

I love my daddy's humor ...

As I was shopping at the outlet mall, I was in one of my favorite stores, The Coach Store...

A little boy named Jordan walk by me with a large Coach bag in one hand and an IPhone in the other.... With a huge Smile Saying " goodbye "

I thought OMG this is too much a 2 1/2 year old attached to an iPhone and his mothers Coach bag ... Life seems to be getting crazier and crazier....

Whatever happened to tinker toys and old fashioned stuffed animals ?

( with permission from mom of course) he was so cute and attached to both items ....

I was shocked as I went to google the word freedom and it's meaning... Expecting a short meaning I was surprised to see all the explanations of freedom ...

Everything from personal freedom to
False freedom... I had No clue ...

But what I would like to share today is about my own personal Freedom ...

"Freedom to give myself permission to be me"

Freedom to live
Freedom to love
Freedom to explore...

All a sense of growth and healing as each day turns a new page in my life book .... No one knows how many pages or chapters we have left...
But I do know we each have been given a life story to tell, our own book to write, life lessons to share on our pages in own book....

Love doesn't have to include another person, although there's nothing like being in love...

Life shares love daily,
if you seek you will find...

I seem to be reminded often of love, by hearts that show up here and there in the oddest places...

I wonder how many people are too busy missing signs from God...

I find hearts everywhere.. The middle of a tomato ( well my friend found that one) biting into my poached egg, in a tree stump, a potato chip, a leaf.... I could go on and on, the latest my daughter sent me was a drop of water from a water fountain...

Had she not been aware of my love of seeing hearts.... that someone passed forward that gift to me,
she too would have missed a sign from God...

Hearts represent Love, God is Love!

No matter where you are in life, look for the hearts that surround you and
know you are Loved!

I am reminded by the people in my life just how truly blessed I am ...

As I explore different friendships, each unique in their own special way, I am always amazed at the lessons I am able to learn from them all... Each one knows me on a different level but they all know the true and authentic person I am ... My heart is equally shared...

So to ALL the wonderful people who have touched me.... I send to you love and blessings all the days of your life... Thank you all for touching my life in a very special way!

I woke up thinking about moving forward and how sometimes our past allows our mind, bodies and energy to be stuck in one place... Not totally stuck, but perhaps an emotion is stuck, a feeling is stuck....

I thought about quick sand, and although all I know about it, is that you need to be still and need someone to help pull you out...

Stillness, in life is a key to growth...

Having someone help is also important, BUT it has to be the person who is stuck that MUST BELIEVE and do the WORK to remove themselves from the depth of the quick sand...

Have you ever needed to move forward with just a "little pull" from something or someone?
Have you been still long enough to truly see life around you?

Melinda, a self claimed regular, vivacious and out going knew the names at our table within seconds. A traveling hair dresser with a heart of gold said " it sucks not being able to be you, Be who you want to be"....

I saw a coffee commercial a few months ago that has stuck with me...

A handsome swedish man sitting in a chair pulling the pedals off a daisy...
the tag line he sensually says:

"Every pedal says He loves me"

So I thought, what?!!!

Every Pedals says "I Love Me"!!!

A life lesson in order to be loved by another we must first love ourselves...

So if you are ever tempted to pull the pedals off a daisy and ask...
"does he love me or does he love me not?" it really doesn't matter
As long as "you love you!" ; )

No wonder God wants us to spread our wings and soar with eagles.

And yet sometimes seasons in life can look so dark and lifeless ...

Knowing what we see on the outside of ourselves in that form of a shadow is so different than our hearts desires....

A representation of us... The outline of our being, a void in all it's glory...
The shadow seen is empty with no details, just a lifeless shape that represents each of our own unique self...

There is so much more to all of us, our depth, our yearnings, our hope, our dreams... All represented by the present shadow that forms in the sunlight...

I read this line "On your way to Fantastic" and I immediately thought of the Wizard of Oz... The scarecrow hanging in the field at the
the corner of a split in the road, when Dorothy was wondering which way to go...

Was one road, the road to fantastic
And the other not ?

She thought the yellow brick road would get her to the city of OZ and that would be her answer? but it wasn't.

"On your way to fantastic"....

Once Dorothy got to Oz she realized there's no place like home... And she had it all along....

So as you search for your road to Fantastic .... I hope you realize you had it all along, I know I did!

30 Miles to Nowhere ....

I can tell my 88 year old dad
Is bored…

I asked him, what he did today,
He said he want for a car ride,
I asked him "where did you go?"

And he smiled and said
"30 miles to nowhere"...

It made me wonder, how many times we have all gone 30 miles nowhere?

A destination, a goal, a purpose,
a desire, a plan, an understanding
Life has so much to offer, embrace and see... LOVE is all around ...

So next time you ever feel, you just want 30 miles to nowhere...

What a beautiful thought, what a beautiful blessing !

I'm thankful for those blessings that have crossed my path, that have raised me up.

I am thankful for my own strength to be able to stand on mountains...

I Want My Mommy...

Adult To Child

It was a week of pain... I knew I needed my mother, somehow this week I became the child on several occasions, yearning for my mothers touch...

The pain that comes and goes is the same pain that sent me into neck surgery this past December..

Has it returned? If so, now what? The reminder of that 10 week period was extremely stressful, I thought I can't go back there... I am Believing between PT, prayer, and energy work to release, I won't need to go back there.

My mother, 87 and confused on many occasions and in pain herself from years of arthritis was there for me this week as my mommy.

A 53 year old, blessed to have her mom, a nurse by profession... I find as we continue to age, what I see in what we have together is a relationship mending its closeness...
And I am forever grateful for my mother...

I smile thinking of the gift of my parents, one more incredible Blessing to count in spite of any
Pain I may be feeling...

Thanks mom for loving me and being there to rub my arm... I love you

I don't watch much TV, but when I do, I love to watch an old movie or two. Audrey Hepburn being one of my favorite old movie stars.
Sabrina one of my favorite movies.

If you listen closely there are so many wonderful lines in so many classic old movies.

In the movie Sabrina her father worries about her "reaching for the moon" Sabrina says "no father the moon is reaching for me "

I love that ... Knowing that the moon is never out of reach because the moon is reaching for you!

Thankful For Life...

I find myself extremely thankful for my life. No matter the challenges or life's adversities. I am so blessed, I am thankful beyond measure and I find being thankful and passing on my blessings is truly healing.

Life is growth....

We have the choice...
We can grow and become better people , we can stay where we are and be people, or we can look at others and blame people....
The choice is yours!

I've come to realize
"I left my heart down south!"

South Carolina was my destination for a road trip I only dreamed of...

Why South Carolina, why now?
What drew me there?

Yes, it was a destination with friends, sunshine, golf, ocean, blue sky's and warm weather.... But why now, why did the stars line up and why did I fall in love with South Carolina ?

There is something about Gods perfect timing... Something about connection, something about when you look at life, no matter what you may be going thought, everything happens for a reason.

I stepped out, took a road trip, ended up down south and it changed my life....

A peace I felt, like no other ... The people, the sights, the sounds ... The food!!!! The sunshine, the warm air and the beautiful ocean... Not to mention all the wonderful history of the south! What's not to love?

And now I entered a secret garden, A place I share with someone in my heart, from a place I fell in love with...

Passion Overrides Fear

As you know I love to write and yet I don't enjoy reading and my spelling and grammar are not perfect...

It was brought to my attention there are typos in some of my postings, although I already realize that I am not perfect, I'm thankful to you all for pointing them out....or not really! : )

It's given me even more strength to overcome my fear..

I lived in Fear of not writing perfectly, and because of that Fear I never wrote....my ego prevented me from sharing what was on my heart through my written word.
What if I was critiqued? What if I made mistakes? What if others didn't like what I had to say?

Thank God for Passion , it's stronger than the Ego... And more fulfilling than any spelling error that someone may point out....

So to all of you gifted English majors I say Hooray to you and I look forward to you editing one of my books that makes "The New York Times Bestseller List" someday!

The Lives We Touch....

I stand amazed at the lives we touch, without even knowing!
Recently I realized there were several people who shared with me about something I did for myself and how it was an inspiration to them and it encouraged them to have the same strength!

I was shocked to think my own actions, and by following my own dreams would have been an inspiration to someone else, as they watched me from afar... and apparently it was...

What a neat place to be. A place of creating and following your own path and dream in life, not even realizing others are watching... And they too, wanting to create a similar path...

It was eye opening for me this week, my own insecurities were perceived as strength by others. Perhaps, no, for sure what I thought all along to be a weakness of my own, truly has been a gift, my own strength from within that has driven me to a place called encouragement, not only of myself but just as important for others ...

Have you ever just believed in yourself enough to realize it was an inspiration for someone else?
