Not sure if she was serious or not but I know this for sure ...
She is Greatness!
No P90X would ever define her ... She is already defined by her love for life and the people around her. She is an inspiration to me and many others ...
True Greatness comes from love and acceptance of everyone...
She is True Greatness....

Through trails and pain comes a breath of air so fresh, if you are quiet and still enough to receive it, it's as if a new life has been breathed into ones being...

There is so much love in this world to embrace and receive if you keep your eyes and heart open ...

We all have a choice...
"To see others faults or
To love others differences..."

Maybe there are NO faults in others after all, only differences to be loved embraced and accepted ...

Just Friends....

Three dating categories... I still find myself stunned on occasion thinking about the fact I'm 50 something and single... To that I say "REALLY ! "
Omg how did I get here... Not only me but the thousands of all of us over 50 that are single...

The good news is that it's not a bad place to be, as a matter of fact ( my fact) I quite enjoy being single in one sense and yet in another I wish I could have been able to celebrate a 50th anniversary... That will never happen!

But...

I have come to realize I still have a chance at celebrating a 25th Anniversary with someone someday! I am not saying it would be a "wedding" anniversary but a anniversary of loving and adoring that one special partner for 25 years....

It's funny how I wonder...
I wonder who that will be...

So as I continue with connections and sorting through those three categories... love interest, no interest, or just friends the search continues... More importantly the connections I make are priceless to me...

I ask "are men emotionally available"
Are they even capable to be emotionally available? this is just a question, a curiosity, since I tend to attract those who are not...

A man with feelings, in touch with his emotions and can still show strength...I believe is a wonderful combination ..

As a women I'm certainly emotional and thankful for the depth of my emotions, I am also strong.
A strength I believe most women have to endure life's challenges ...

I was told tears are "wet awareness"

I Love that thought since I can be brought to tears more easily lately... I am moved by love and life and the awareness of the beauty that surrounds me...

I may think of someone who has touched my life and I am brought to tears, I can see a breathtaking site and be moved, I can be chatting about something and that awareness brings tears...

Tears are nothing that I am ashamed of, on the contrary, I am blessed to feel the awareness in such a moving way.

Wet Awareness... My tears allow me to feel my awareness, and express it...

I'm always inspired by others... What they say, how they act, what I see...
I received a tex this morning that said...

"Be careful what u hope for"... My initial responses was "you got that right"

But that saying and my response has had me wondering all day...

If I am hoping for something, why would I be careful?
A saying we have all said, a saying that has been around for years...

Maybe instead of
"Be careful of what you Hope for" a better saying would be....

"Be Hope FULL and Care MORE".....

As humans we tend to be driven to want...
Some may want more stuff, others may want love and a relationship, a new outlook on life, a move, a career,
we want, want, want...
Its meaning: to feel a need or a desire for; wish for: is to Want!

"Wanting" in life is fine, as long as you realize having what you want won't fill any void you may feel..

True Contentment comes from within... People, places and things and wanting doesn't fill the void from within... Feeling complete first, loving yourself unconditionally no matter what, than adding any what I prefer to call "Yearnings" only enhance ones Life...

So next time you " Want" something ask yourself Why? And make sure it's not because you think "Having it"
will make you Feel better, because chances are "it" wont!

A Midnight Sky

Whether we see it or not there's a midnight sky .
I was fortunate enough to witness the most incredible heat storm last night..
The sky lite up like a Christmas tree with a million tiny white lights.
It's sight was breathtaking, something I've never seen before...
It was though there was a musical conductor orchestrating an incredible light show and the music was silent... Yet, awesome to my ears, my eyes were mesmerized by its beauty. All because of the midnight sky...

That had me wondering why?
Until I realized we live in a world of illusions...
The illusion of who others are
The illusion of what true success is

Reality is what is true to you,

We can't change how others see think or feel.
We can only embrace who we are and accept those around us for who they are...

Once we try to change someone else
it's only an illusion we try to live in and fit them in.

Acceptance of what we see, who others are, seeing the world with our hearts filled with love, and embracing life all around is a beautiful existence...

18 Again!

Friends Celebrating

It's friends, connections, unconditional love that warms my heart... Celebrating my best friends birthday last night, a friendship of over 47 years, I was reminded of being 18 again!

A bar, a band, a drink in hand ...

All brought back memories of those younger single years when you went out at 11:00 pm, you could smoke in bars (thank God that changed ) and you drove home, when maybe you shouldn't have!!!

So what's changed? Well I'm not "younger" anymore, I'm asleep by 11:00, thankfully don't smoke, and I have to walk 3 miles this morning to pick up my car! ( smart move)
Which I consider good exercise...

So it was quite a birthday celebration, a blast from the past and a blast in the present...
A fun night all around spent with two wonderful women.

I was moved emotionally and spiritually during my trip to Arizona this year... As I continue to search for the purpose of my life, I become more aware the purpose lies within my heart...

I hiked to a peak called Thumb Butte
Yesterday... A view that was breathtaking... As we hiked I realized we were climbing closer to a spot I didn't think possible to reach and it was an amazing experience. I found myself overwhelmed with emotions at the view as we continued to climb.
Here in Arizona there's a sense of being closer to everything... Closer to the clouds, the stars, to people around and a closeness to God. It's the Arizona energy in the air... It's an amazing experience and an amazing feeling of freedom ...

As I was walking this morning in AZ several of the traffic signs caught my eye .... I've seen the same signs many times before but for some reason the were speaking to me...

The first one had an arrow pointing right saying "Only" and I wondered hmm what if life only had one way to live? As I came up the hill, the view was beautiful, then I noticed the Roundabout sign... Again I couldn't help but think about life and what if we kept going in circles our whole life ...as I looked over my shoulder another breathtaking sight of the mountains. Two more signs caught my eye, No Outlet and Stop!!!
Both stopped me in my tracks thinking OMG ... There is a message here...

At that moment a friend tex me and asked "what are you feeling" and all I could think with the beauty around me was FREEDOM!! I was brought to tears realizing the peace I feel on the road seeing this country first hand and the Freedom it gives me ...

I was in Love with the sights this morning of my surroundings and in total Awe of the message I was hearing and in Wonder of the Freedom I feel when I am on the road!!!

I've never been much of a coffee drinker, some would agree I have enough of that Italian verbal energy without it! : )

For some reason lately I've needed a little caffeine, I like a "half cafe" a few times a week now...

It has me wondering why?
My age? My activity ? My age?
( oh I already said that!) ; )

So to all you devoted caffeine drinkers, I'm just wondering why you started and if you find yourself wanting more as time goes by?

Intention....

That word came up today in a conversation with a friend...
The importance of your intention.

Even my dog Gracie understands the word intention... She was caught red handed about to toss the pillow off the chair ( when no one is home her intention is to push all the pillows on the floor) see the picture!

When something is happening or about to take place what is the intention? Intention is very important when it comes to people and situations....

Do you have the right intention?

What seems like a long time ago, another friend shared that same word ... Intention... I never did figure out what their intention was and I don't believe they ever did either ....

Ones intention should be clear...
To themselves along with all parties involved...

So next to you find yourself in a situation, make sure you know what your intention is and at the very least have a good intention!

Stop And Smell The Honeysuckle

Do You Believe? Are You Present?

As I sat "star glazing" on the front porch with one of my dearest friends last night in Prescott AZ, I began to smell the sweetest fragrance of honeysuckle.

I've been to Arizona many times and I have sat in that same spot on her front porch, but I have never experienced the sweet fragrance of honeysuckle before.

Our senses are an incredible gift!

The sights I saw yesterday as I traveled, the people alone were amazing. Just being present to every moment of everyday and enjoying the journey in life and not just the destination.

I find myself "Believing" lately as I am Present to the moment. There is an incredible peace and contentment in
Believing in what you are yearning for.

Whether passions listed on a bucket list, fulfilling your hearts desire, or reaching for that dream that you believe without a doubt you can achieve .... You first must "Believe!"

I Believed I would take a road trip and start to travel for connection in order to write a book that I Believe will be a best seller. And this past winter everything I began speaking to myself and others started happening.
I Believed...

I also realized I needed to be Present to my life's journey and enjoy each and every moment of each and every day....

I smelled the sweet fragrance of honeysuckle last night on her front porch, the gift of another god given sense, a smell, that allowed me to be present to that exact moment in time, and yet actually brought a memory back from forty years ago as a little girl... And forty years later I realized I am living my life, loving myself and others, believing in who I am, and bring present to my life's journey...

I Believe this journey for me is about connection, I believe I will travel, and write, as I am present to each and every moment of each and everyday.
I believe that my life partner is right there in front of me...

Sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch

Don't go a day without Believing.
Be present to your journey in life as you embrace each and every one of your senses...

Do you Believe in yourself and your dreams?

Six Billion People

Six Billion People...

There are well over six billion people in this world today, six billion! All looking for love and connection.

Out of six billion people how many do you think you connect to?
And how many lives do you touch daily?

I've come to realize connections are endless but love is fleeting.

We will connect with more people than we could ever imagine, especially if you are one of those "people people" those who truly love people and connection. I've been asked many times what my passion is and the first thing that comes to mind is People!
I love people ....

Realizing there are over six billion people in the world and we all continue to connect daily with many without even realizing it. From the young women taking our morning coffee order at the drive thru to the person we let merge in traffic, to the person that checks us out at the store, or the one we pass going through the door at the bank, to the one we make eye contact with waiting at a red light, to the stranger on a dating site, to a friend you tex during the day...
I could go on and on but the point is we touch and connect with so many lives on any given day it's endless.

As I sit at the airport waiting to catch a plane to AZ ...I am reminded of the incredible amount of people all around... I travel for a number of reasons, but one of my most favorite part of my travels is connection and people. So I'm off again on another journey of experiencing life, seeing this country and making connections with a few of those six billion people who I share this planet with ...

Making Life All Worth While!

Meeting people is a passion of mine...
In order to do that I must leave my house and be out there in the world. Somedays I am amazed at who I meet and why God has them cross my path! Yesterday was no exception.

I met a wonderful women in the afternoon unexpectedly. I asked her
" why did you move to Montana ?"
She said " his name was Kelly"
I laughed at her answer because of her wit... Come to find out we had the same birthdays and we were born an hour apart.. I felt like I had just met a kindred soul.

She touched my life as much as I touched hers yesterday for a few fleeting moments... Her pain, her perseverance, her depth, her triumphs all inspired me. A connection I will hold close to my heart, a chance meeting, I think not!
We had a moment of connection as we saw the others inner beauty and shared a piece of our hearts with the eachother...

As the day progressed I had a second chance meeting with another connection, a stranger, an angel in a bar... I went to a place out of my box, but I know it was Gods way of showing me my outer beauty as well has he had shown me my inner beauty earlier that day, meeting my new friend from Montana ...

Sometimes we need to be reminded of our beauty. Beauty comes in many forms, the most important is the beauty others see deep within our souls without even knowing who we are...

Inner beauty, outer beauty, seeing the beauty in others as well as ourselves is a blessing...

Look for the beauty in the mirror, then look at the beauty all around you! We all have beauty inside and out, let yours be seen today....
